Mixing 5 very different and not too trivial cocktails with rum: Rum Punch, El Presidente, Añejo Highball, Haitian Divorce, and Blood Orange & Stour Espresso Martini. Arrr!

Ingredients

Rum Punch

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Light Rum
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Aged Rum
  • ¾ oz. / 22 ml Lime juice
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Grenadine
  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Pineapple juice
  • Shake
  • Highball or Hurricane glass
  • Garnish with a Mint sprig and a Maraschino cherry

El Presidente

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml White Rum
  • ¾ oz. / 22 ml Dry Vermouth
  • ¼ oz. / 7 ml Orange curacao
  • 2 dashes Grenadine
  • 2 drops Saline solution (optional)
  • Shake
  • Cocktail glass

Blood Orange & Stout Espresso Martini

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Dark Rum
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Cacao liqueur
  • 1-2 dashes Vanilla syrup
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Blood orange juice (or ½ oz. / 15 ml Blood orange puree)
  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Stout
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Espresso
  • Shake
  • Big cocktail glass
  • Garnish with 3 coffee beans

Haitian Divorce

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Dark Rum
  • ¾ oz. / 22 ml Mezcal
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Pedro Ximenez Sherry
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Stir
  • Old fashioned glass
  • Garnish with an Orange twist

Anejo Highball

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Caribbean Rum
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Orange Curacao liqueur
  • ¼ oz. / 7 ml Lime juice
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Top up with 2 oz. / 60 ml Ginger Beer
  • Garnish with a Lime wedge and a Orange wedge
