I'm mixing the Top 10 most popular cocktails of 2026 based on polls from our subscribers, bar trend data, and statistics from my websites. I share a brief history of each cocktail, the classic recipe, and prepare a tasty twist for variety.

Ingredients

Aperol Spritz (classic recipe)

  • 3 parts Prosecco (or other dry sparkling wine)
  • 2 parts Aperitivo (Aperol or other)
  • 1 part Soda
  • Garnish with an orange slice
  • Wine glass, filled with ice

Limoncello Spritz

  • 1–1½ oz. / 30-45 ml Limoncello
  • 3 oz. / 90 ml Prosecco
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Soda water
  • Garnish with a Lemon wheel
  • Wine glass, filled with ice

Espresso Martini (classic recipe)

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Vodka
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Espresso
  • ¼ oz. / 7 ml Simple syrup
  • Garnish with 3 coffee beans
  • Shake, chilled Cocktail glass

Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Vodka (or Orange vodka)
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Espresso
  • ⅔ oz. / 20 ml Coffee liqueur
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Dark cacao liqueur
  • ⅓ oz. / 10 ml Triple sec (or Cointreau)
  • Garnish with chocolate shavings and essential oils from orange zest
  • Shake, chilled cocktail glass

Gin and Tonic (classic recipe)

  • 1⅔ oz. / 50 ml Gin
  • 4 oz. / 120 ml Tonic
  • ¼–⅓ oz. / 5-10 ml Lime juice
  • Build in Highball glass with ice

Autumn-Winter Cherry Gin & Tonic

  • 1⅔ oz. / 50 ml Gin (autumn variety, if available)
  • ½–⅔ oz. / 15–20 ml Cherry syrup from cocktail cherries
  • 3–4 oz. / 90–120 ml Tonic
  • ¼–⅓ oz. / 5–10 ml Lime juice
  • Garnish with cherries on a skewer
  • Build in Highball glass with ice

Mojito

  • 10-15 Mint leaves
  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Light rum
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Lime juice
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Simple syrup (or passionfruit, apple, yuzu)
  • Top up with 1 oz. / 30 ml Soda
  • Build in highball glass with ice, muddle mint first

Rum Old Fashioned

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Aged rum
  • ¼ oz. / 7 ml Maple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 2 dashes Orange bitters
  • Garnish with orange zest
  • Stir with ice in Old Fashioned glass

Tiramisu White Russian

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Vanilla vodka
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Coffee liqueur
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Creme de cacao
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Amaretto
  • 1–1½ oz. / 30–45 ml 20% cream
  • Build in Rocks glass with ice

Long Island Iced Tea (Old Man Bishop)

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Vodka
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Whiskey (Tennessee or bourbon)
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Tequila
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Gin
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Rum
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Maple syrup
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Lemon juice
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Lime juice
  • 4 oz. / 120 ml Coca-Cola
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel
  • Build in highball with ice

Frozen Pina Colada

  • 200 g Frozen pineapple cubes
  • 5 Ice cubes
  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Rum (light or aged)
  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Cream of coconut
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Lime juice
  • Garnish with pineapple leaves
  • Blender, Highball or tiki glass

Tommy’s Margarita

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Tequila blanco (100% agave)
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Agave syrup
  • Rim the glass with Salt
  • Shake, Rocks glass with ice

Cynar Negroni aka Cin-Cyn

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Cynar (or Campari)
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Gin
  • Garnish with orange zest
  • Stir in rocks glass with ice
