Recipe

Homemade cranberry juice

  • Muddle 300 g / 3 cups fresh or unfrozen cranberries and strain them through a cheesecloth — you’ll get about 200 ml (~7 oz.) juice.
  • Add the leftover pulp to 1 L (~4 cups) of water and heat gently for 10 minutes (don’t boil).
  • Let sit for another 10 minutes, then strain through the same cheesecloth.
  • Add 100–120 g (½ cup) sugar, stir until dissolved.
  • Mix the sweetened cranberry water with the fresh juice in a heat-sterilized bottle.
  • Chill for a few hours — you'll get a clean, natural cranberry drink that beats store-bought 11 times out of 10.
